So after playing the last Mass Effect 3 sequences a few times and experimenting with different options “in the name of science”, I figured I’d share my discoveries with the world. It was especially hard to find answers without totally spoiling the game for myself. The information I found was scattered or vague or just plain wrong.

Details nag me, okay? So despite what I kept being told about “ EMS doesn’t matter, the endings are all mostly the same and suck equally“, I had a lot of questions as I got closer and closer to my last mission.Ī lot of questions with not a lot of answers. I decided to write this FAQ/Guide is because, well, when I game, I game obsessively. 22, 2013, 12:31 p.m.I dare you to talk about that of which we do not speak! So if you wish to live and obtain the 4000 target then may I advise everyone to try multiplayer gaming and practice good united team effort and have a pleasant result. Hence single play may not be the best way to obtain the live and fight another day. It just maybe a critical factor that many have not paid any attention too. I happen to believe in team work and correct upgrades to successfully reach this 4000 target. Check your War Assets terminal to find your readiness, or look at the display on the main menu. It matters greatly based on the decisions made in the game and throughout the series. In general, I can get a little over 7000 EMS with a 100% readiness. There could be other ways, but these seemed the most straightforward to me. You can increase this percentage up to 100% by playing and completing multiplayer missions and to a lesser extent with the Mass Effect Infiltrator iOS app. For example, you start with an EMS of 50%, which means only half of your War Assets are actually being applied. Depending on your "Galactic Readiness," only a certain portion of your War Assets are actually applied to the single player campaign. I am guessing the biggest problem you are having is with the "Effective Military Strength" modifier. It may take a second play through importing that character, again I'm not sure.Īctually I think that little 5 second clip may be more of a reward to those who played ME2 and ME1 than a real ending option, an easter egg if you will. If you play it with origin you can play multiplayer to increase galactic readinessĪnd i think at single every war asset you take increases it by a little but it isn't worth to play all trilogy again and spend 100 more hours for some 10 sec video clip. I think if I had salarian support I would have 4000+ EMS. I have done everything exelent I have imported Me 1 Me 2 character and at the end I had only 3700 EMS. I think that isn't worth to play ME 1 ME 2 again. if you have 4000+ EMS there will be one 10 second clip as a reward.
